The crew at TCL asked me to determine the Top 5 things I’d NEVER eat. I revealed these foods on the air:
Tip: When determining if something is a healthy eat, check out the ingredient list. Rule of thumb: The shorter the ingredient list, the better.

Wow… how many people are duped into thinking that margarine and diet soda are “healthier” for you than the products you suggested. America has a LONG ROAD ahead of us if we want to catch up to this thinking.
Now, I need to let you go so I can snack on my Doritos…
This was really great, good job Cassie! I loved their reaction to butter in the coffee – priceless 🙂
Great job Cassie!
Woohoo! You’re welcome. I’m glad to hear it, Evelyn. PFC works! 🙂
Never knew butter was not good for you!
Hi Cassie,
I’m finishing my graduate program in Nutrition and Dietetics and starting my internship. I’ll be taking my test to become a registered dietitian later this year. My question for you is about butter. I’ve noticed in a few of your TV interviews that you really promote butter. I myself also choose to use butter over margarine or other processed spreads. Multiple times you have said that butter is one of those “good fats” for us. While it is a better alternative to processed ingredients, it is also high in saturated fats. Saturated fats, those fats derived from animals, we should be limited in our diet (not cutting out completely, as I said I use butter). I feel that you should be stating that butter isn’t bad, but it, along with other saturated fats, should be limited. We should be filling our diet with mono- and polyunsaturated fats as well from whole food sources such as avocados, nuts, olive oil, some fish, etc.. Just wondering your thoughts on this topic….
Awesome that you’re starting your internship! I stand by it when I say that butter is a good, healthy fat! Butter and all other saturated fats need not be limited. There is not evidence to support this — the saturated fat causes heart disease hypothesis has been disproven. I am sending you an email linking several research studies right now 🙂
Cassie, any chance you’d be willing to send that email out to another? I’ve been following you for some time and eating PFC (and seeing AMAZING results while feeling satisfied and rarely hungry). I try to convince friends and relatives but they are stuck in the sadly prevalent mindset of the U.S. 🙁
I’m giong to send you a quick PM via Facebook with my email address, just in case.
Hi Brenda! I’m so glad the PFC way of eating has provided amazing results for you! 🙂 And yes, I see your Facebook message and will send resources your way 🙂
Thanks a million, Cassie! You rock!
Well done Cassie! Dispelling all of these myths one talk show, one view at a time! I love how surprised these guys are at your recommendations…. you’re doing such good work!
Why full fat Greek yogurt?
Fat helps slow down the absorption of the sugar from the yogurt into our blood stream, promoting stable blood sugar levels which are essential for so many reasons! More on that here: http://healthysimplelife.com/the-blood-sugar-roller-coaster/
That’s completely your call! I choose which foods I eat based on my health goals, and it’s your choice if you choose them based on taste. 🙂
